About Us

The Robert R. Shaw Center for STEAM opened in February of 2015.  We are a Katy I.S.D. resource facility.  Our mission is to inspire students to pursue STEAM subjects and careers. 

Each year, approximately 16,000 Katy ISD students visit us to participate in First Robotics build activities, field trips, family steam nights, summer camps and more.  The video below gives a feel for the exciting things that happen at the Shaw Center and why students are so happy to visit.
